Introduction

EQUS invites Proponents to submit non-binding quotations for Line Hardware and Electrical Utility Parts Supply (“Proponent’s Submission”).

No legal relationship or obligation regarding the RFQ shall be created between a Proponent and EQUS until successful negotiation and execution of a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement and a fixed goods agreement between the successful Proponent(s) and EQUS. Information provided in a Proponent’s Submission will be non-binding prior to the execution of any forthcoming agreements between EQUS and a Proponent.

Any information contained in a Proponent’s Submission to this RFQ will be assessed during the evaluation of the responses and ranking of the Proponents. Any inaccurate, misleading or incomplete information contained in a Proponent’s Submission to this RFQ could adversely impact any such evaluation or ranking of a Proponent, and may result in a Proponent’s Submission being disqualified from consideration.

Background and Scope

EQUS invites Proponents to submit non-binding quotations for Line Hardware and Electrical Utility Parts Supply as specified in the Materials List Form attached as Appendix “A” to this RFQ (the “Materials List”).

EQUS reserves the right to split the award of the RFQ between one or more Proponents, at its sole discretion. The successful Proponent(s) will be required to enter into a fixed goods agreement with EQUS for an initial one (1) year term with possible extensions, at EQUS’ sole discretion. Any subsequent price increases that may result during any time period between a Proponent’s Submission and execution of a fixed goods agreement with EQUS will, at EQUS’ sole discretion, only be accepted if manufacturer or commodity costs have increased since the time period of the Proponent’s Submission to this RFQ. The successful Proponent must provide documentation to support any such price increases.

EQUS does not guarantee any volumes to a Proponent for the duration of any fixed goods agreement between a Proponent and EQUS. In the Proponent’s Submission, Proponents must complete the Materials List with the manufacturer and part number they propose, the corresponding specifications, pricing and any price breaks, minimum order quantities, lead time and delivery methods for each item in the Materials List. In the Materials List, EQUS has also provided one or two preferred manufacturers and part numbers – these manufacturers are not required. An equivalent product can be quoted. However, specifications must be provided for any alternative parts proposed in a Proponent’s Submission to this RFQ.
 

In accordance with any fixed goods agreement between EQUS and a successful Proponent, purchase and delivery for all items in the Materials List will be made to all EQUS warehouses and Area Offices located in Medicine Hat, Claresholm, Red Deer County, and Onoway. Delivery of the items in the Materials List shall be FOB EQUS.
